Little Guy Series: Ralph the Masked Bandit
Part of my ongoing series of little guys whose creative direction is dictated to me by a screeching gaggle of my 8-12 year old students, no two are alike! These little creatures can be house totems, incense holders, candle holders, or jump-scares depending on where you put 'em.
This particular little guy is wearing a mask and has eye holes for smoke to pour out and further disguise them from their enemies. With silly critter ears and a prominent nose, this one was a real design challenge and was dubbed "Ralph" by an enthusiastic 9-year-old who felt particularly inspired by this little guy.
Made out of unglazed terracotta, this piece is much more fragile than the glazed stoneware pieces and should live on a shelf or other fairly safe place.
